PRINCIPLE: Helping to find treatments for COVID-19 from home
PRINCIPLE is a UK-wide clinical study from the University of Oxford to find COVID-19 treatments for recovery at home.
We are looking for medicines that can help people with COVID-19 symptoms get better quickly and stop them needing to go to hospital. PRINCIPLE recruited participants through this website and also through GP practices across the UK.
PRINCIPLE was open to all with ongoing symptoms of COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status.
A huge thank you to all of the thousands who have volunteered. Your contribution to the PRINCIPLE trial is greatly valued. Thank you for helping us in our search to evaluate if treatment administered early in the course of the COVID-19 illness can help those at higher risk recover quickly, without the need for hospital admission.
Sign-Up has now closed
PRINCIPLE has now closed as we have reached our required number of participants and there will be no further trial medications included to this study. If you are already on the trial please continue to complete you follow-ups, including our 3, 6, and 12 month questionnaires.
